This Caribbean & Hawaiian Flower called Plumeria Frangipani was Prognated by my wife in August last year August/2019 and with lots of care & love bloomed here in on Mothers day in May 2020 from a Cutting that we had shipped from Honolulu. These pictures were taken once a month. It will be ready to plant soon, this summer, as a Bush, which will grow to be a Tree. That's going to take a few year more to happen. This process takes patience & some Hormones but the prize is well worth it
We kept the Cutting in a glass of water and changed that once per week. Within a month it started to Bud & grow tiny hair-like roots that we could see in the H2O. When they got long enough, my wife potted it and took it into the house in mid-September. We used a small 19 watt (White Light) Grow Light overtop approx. 2-3 ft above the Cutting.
Once Inside the house we added a Heat Pad for the first couple of months to keep it at a constant temperture, now that the season were changing. We soon started to notice physical difference. My Wife Sookies Watering Schedule: Add 1/2 teaspoon of Miracle Grow with 2-3 oz. of filtered water to the soil. Don't over-water maybe once a week.
Every Monday morning my wife gave the Cutting, once it was potted a Waterering & a misting with a Spray bottle over the entire plant with filtered H20 that was room temperture.
By the end of September 2019 this is what the Fragment Plumeria Cutting looked like. We decided to add a little buddy that we also started in water. Only this was started indoors under the Grow Light
Started to Bud
Leavey & Growing .
Over the Winter especially in January, it started to bud and grow even bigger we transferred it to a bigger pot and increased the amount of nutrients and light. We moved it to a sunny window in a bigger room and bought a larger Grow light system like this one through Amazon. called Mars Hydro TSW 2000 Watt. We still watered and misted once per/week on the same schedule, now adding more H2o and Miracle Grow. Keeping the humidity level up to around the plant seemed to help. Also as my wife reminded me during this Watering & Misting ritual she practices with all her plants, You must sing or talk gently to whatever plant, bush, or tree you are caring for.
Today 7/25/2020 we will transplant the Bush to my Mother's house where there is plenty of room for it to grow to maturity, before it gets too big to move. It's been nearly a year since we started this project and although it's a slow process the Plumeria Frangipani is a wonderful exotic tree thats easy to propagate has will grow beautiful flowers 1-3 years. We are not braggin but our's came in less than 1 year. We'll see about the Tree. MyWaterEarth&Sky
