Cloud Seeding California

In California where they are in the middle of a severe drought, Cloud Seeding is being used to increase rain events but fire events are becoming more volatile leading to some speculation about whether a chemical ingredient being used in Cloud Seeding called Aluminum Oxide may be contributing to the problem. Is Aluminum Oxide flammable that’s used in Cloud Seeding in California?

Aluminum Oxide, used in California Cloud Seeding is stable in its form but once changed to a powdery cloud can become a highly combustible fuel falling to earth, laying on the ground until strong winds, move it in the air turning it into an accelerant adding fuel to fires already lit on the ground.

The Cloud Seeding Process is done by spraying microscopic particles such as aluminum oxide and silver iodide which affect the condensation process and act as an artificial ice core.
Later, these types of compounds will provide the ability to form ice crystals.

Cloud Seeding Chemicals

Cloud Seeding is a type of Weather Modification that uses the process of spreading either dry ice or more commonly, aluminum oxide, silver iodide aerosols, into the upper part of clouds to try to stimulate the precipitation process and form rain.

Most rainfall starts with the growth of ice crystals from super-cooled cloud droplets in the upper parts of clouds, the silver iodide particles are meant to encourage the growth of new ice particles. Eventually making rain.

The chemicals mostly used are

  1. Silver Iodide
  2. Sodium Chloride
  3. Aluminum Oxide
  4. Dry ice or frozen carbon dioxide
  5. All the above

The Cloud Seeding Process is done by spraying microscopic particles such as aluminum oxide and silver iodide which affect the condensation process and act as an artificial ice core.
Later, these types of compounds will provide the ability to form ice crystals. The procedure has been used since 1971 in many countries. For the method to be successful

  • A determined by the amount of moisture needed to be involved in the surrounding clouds
  • A certain Percent of water vapor is needed in the atmosphere. (These are  both absent in Australia)

The Seeding is normally done either by specially-equipped aircraft or via ground-based generators at higher elevations in mountainous areas. The method has never been proven to be 100% successful but has been proven to work. A meteorologist will direct and oversee the cloud-seeding missions. A number of factors play a part in the success of the mission which include:

  • local atmospheric conditions
  • weather forecasts
  • seeding suspension criteria
  • aircraft safety concerns.

Negative Effects of Cloud Seeding

The US Public Health Service claims there is a negligible environmental impact of cloud seeding. That said, Silver Iodide when studied in labs, is a different story, all together and is indeed toxic and dangerous This same study says that silver is not known to be carcinogenic to humans.

Sodium Chloride (road salt), which is … Chloride is not toxic to human health at low levels but does pose taste problems. Aluminum Oxide-ranks among the less toxic substances and only exhibits toxic effects in high concentrations. … However, the oral intake of aluminum oxide over a long time period should be avoided as elevated aluminum levels in the blood could cause side effects on human health.

The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, recognizes aluminum as one of several metals known to affect the neurological system. Unfortunately, exposure to aluminum is common in some occupations like mining, factory work, and welding. Welding can be especially worrisome because it produces vapors that, when inhaled by workers, can send aluminum directly into the lungs in a “super absorption” status where it is released into the blood and distributed to the bones and brain. Researchers have repeatedly examined the consequence of inhaling aluminum vapors, especially over periods of time and it’s not good.  The effects on the memory and concentration of employees are detrimental.

Combustible Dust Explosion

According to its Safty Data Sheet, Aluminum oxide itself is not dangerous but can be flammable in a powered state. Aluminum oxides are very dangerous if breathed in and very combustible in a light powdered form. Further processing of solid materials may result in the formation of combustible dust.

The potential for combustible dust formation should be taken into consideration before additional processing occurs. Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation at places where dust is formed. Neglecting Aluminum Dust in a workplace can be extremely dangerous because of its dangerous and volatile nature in that state.

What is Water Availability?

Water availability is the quantity of water that can be used for human purposes without significant harm to ecosystems or other users. Consideration is given to demands from human and ecosystem needs, equitable apportionment of water among uses, and indicators of stress to the ………………………………………………………………………… Read more

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) defines combustible dust as “a combustible particulate solid that presents a fire or deflagration hazard when suspended in air or some other oxidizing medium over a range of

concentrations, regardless of particle size or shape.” In general, combustible particulates having an effective diameter of 420 μm or smaller, as determined by passing through a U.S. No. 40 Standard Sieve, are generally considered to be combustible dust.

All electrical components including starters and motors need to be covered in the Industrial area that has Aluminum Dust in the work areas.

Along with specially designed Vacumn Cleaners to clean the dust. Aluminum in a light dust physical form is very dangerous. Aluminum dust particles that are the subject of conversation found in ChemTrails also are highly flammable and explosive.

According to retired USAF brigadier general, Gen. Charles Jones, has been quoted from a public source as stating, “These white aircraft spray trails are the result of scientifically verifiable spraying of aluminum particles and other toxic heavy metals, polymers and chemicals.” Millions of tons of aluminum and barium are being sprayed almost daily across the U.S., stated Mills, a former naval officer and UCLA, graduate.

“Just sprinkle aluminum or barium dust on fire and see what happens.  It’s near explosive.  When wildfires break out, the aluminum/barium dust results in levels of fire intensity so great as to cause firefighters to coin a new term firenado, ”  he said. The entire U.S., in addition to various other NATO countries, are being sprayed.”

Aluminum Oxide is not Flammable in its original granular form.  Officials theorize that Aluminum Oxide used in Cloud Seeding California changes its form and once changed to a light powdery cloud can become a highly combustible fuel falling towards earth.

It settles, laying on the ground until strong winds, move it in the air again turning it into the light powder and an accelerant again, adding fuel to fire that’s already lit on the floor of the forest.

Unnatural violent outbursts of ignited fires have been happening in California. The use of Cloud Seeding could be having a completely negative effect on preventing fires from happening to begin with around the state. As of April 2, 2020, a total of 645 fires have burned 1,248 acres (505 ha) according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. Fires can be tracked across the state along with air quality and acres burned with online information and statistics provided on the largest and most destructive fire events.

  • San Francisco’s Interactive Map for Fires and California Air Quality  Interactive Map. This interactive map developed in The San Francisco Chronicle newsroom provides information on wildfires burning across California. They map wildfires that are larger than 500 acres or have damaged buildings or caused injury or death. Along with air quality in real-time.
